Modern systems still assume the underlying hardware is an honest broker. We treat that assumption as the central failure point. A physical event finishes before software can respond to it. Tamper, damage, wear, or the quiet loss of a condition that made an action safe — by the time a report reaches the part of the system that decides, the moment to act has usually passed. Our work moves detection and refusal into the physical layer itself, so that a threat can be answered before central processors or software loops finish interpreting the event. We build boundaries that make a local, authoritative decision at the point of contact. The goal is not a faster alert. The goal is hardware that can refuse on its own authority when the alternative is to trust a report that arrives too late.
